Euroapotheca group's revenue grew 7% reaching EUR 1.8 billion
In Euroapotheca group, the past year was defined by planned changes and successful delivery of long-term strategic projects, laying a strong foundation for future growth. Among its most significant achievements, the group highlights the successful completion of the integration of its business in Sweden, which has been ongoing for the past three years, as well as the opening of one of the most advanced pharmaceutical logistics centers in the Baltic States, developed for Eurovaistinė in Lithuania.
The group continued with its focus on creating value for its customers and employees by strengthening the quality of pharmaceutical services, enhancing operational efficiency, and improving working conditions for pharmacists and other employees.
During 2025, the integration of the business operations in Sweden, jointly owned with Oriola Corporatation, was completed. In April, corporate structure of Swedish entities was simplified by merging the legal entities historically related to the operations of the Apoteksgruppen pharmacy network into Kronans Apotek AB, thereby leaving a single legal entity dedicated to operational activities. Meanwhile, in November, following the completion of IT systems integration, the business processes of all Kronans Apotek network pharmacies, the e commerce warehouse / distance pharmacy, and administrative HQ began operating in a single ERP system.
“The launch of the new unified ERP system and the merger of the legal entities marked the final steps in bringing our colleagues in Sweden even closer together into a stronger and more unified organization. At the same time, this transformation stands as an example of professionalism and commitment of many colleagues, proving that the best results are achieved when we act together,” says Vytautas Liatukas, Chairman of the Board of EUROAPOTHECA, UAB.
As previously announced, on 31 March 2026 EUROAPOTHECA, UAB sold Euroapotheca Holding SWE AB, which owns a 50% stake in the Swedish pharmacy chain Kronans Apotek, to another Vilniaus prekyba group company, PARETAS B.V., as part of the corporate group restructuring carried out by Vilniaus prekyba, UAB.
As a result, the capital structure of EUROAPOTHECA, UAB was reviewed, and it was decided to reduce the company’s issued share capital using part of the proceeds received from PARETAS B.V. for the above-mentioned transaction. The remaining amount received from the transaction was distributed as part of the dividends for the 2025 financial year. The issued share capital of EUROAPOTHECA, UAB was reduced by EUR 134.9 million – from EUR 264.9 million to EUR 130 million. Dividends of EUR 64.7 million were paid.
Summarizing financial results for 2025, revenue in Sweden increased by 6%, revenue in physical pharmacies in the Baltic States grew by 9%, while the e-commerce channel recorded growth of 18%. Online channel stood out for its faster growth, driven by the enhancement of product assortment, value-driven offers for customers, and investments in improving customer experience, such as the ability to pay using private health insurance, among other initiatives.
Euroapotheca group recorded a net loss of EUR 20.8 million in 2025, remaining at the same level as in 2024. The net loss was mainly driven by accounting record of impairments related to intangible assets and lease contract values in Sweden, which exceeded a total of EUR 32 million in both 2025 and 2024.
Strengthening Operations in Lithuania
Commenting on the 2025 results, Tomas Kibildis, Chairman of the Board of EUROVAISTINĖ, UAB—the company managing the Eurovaistinė physical pharmacy network in Lithuania—emphasizes that the main challenges remained unchanged. Following legislative changes whereby, from July 2023, pharmacy technicians are no longer allowed to work under remote supervision by pharmacists, demand for pharmacists has peaked. There is a significant shortage across the entire market, and therefore Eurovaistinė’s investments in attracting employees continued to grow substantially last year in order to create competitive working conditions.
The company considers one of its key achievements last year to be the start of operations at a new logistics center, one of the most modern in the Baltic States, which it leases from Galio Group. The 11,800 sq. m A++ class facility and its technologies enable efficient storage and picking of medicines. The building also meets the BREEAM In-Use Excellent standard and was designed with a strong focus on sustainable solutions.
One of the company’s most important achievements last year was the start of operations in a new logistics center—one of the most modern in the Baltic States—leased from real estate development company Galio Group. The 11.8 thousand sq. m A++ energy class building and the technology installed there enables efficient storage and picking of medicines. The building meets BREEAM In-Use Excellent criteria and was designed with strong emphasis on environmentally friendly solutions.
“Last year, we continued with our strong focus on implementing changes that are important for both our organization and our customers, including the upgrade of the eHealth system. After a complex eHealth system upgrade in early November, customers and patients at Eurovaistinė were able to purchase prescription medicines without interruption, as a result of the effective collaboration of Eurovaistinė and Euroapotheca teams,” says Tomas Kibildis.
The Chairman of the Board of Eurovaistinė also notes that one of the key investments in improving customer experience remains the consistent modernization of the pharmacy network. Last year, renovation works were carried out in 30 pharmacies across Lithuania, 15 of which were fully renovated. In addition, two completely new Eurovaistinė pharmacies opened their doors last year.
T. Kibildis emphasizes that in 2025 the professionalism of the team and highly competitive prices encouraged customers to choose Eurovaistinė, resulting in a 9% increase in sales revenue from EUR 365 million to EUR 399 million, while the company continued to operate profitably.
Last summer, market research company DIVE Lietuva named Eurovaistinė as the pharmacy chain providing the best customer service in Lithuania.
